| (2010-07-14) Ministers vragen 30% Emissie reductie in 2020, waarom niet 50%? this |
| De Financial times meldt dat Ministers uit Duitsland Frnakrijk en Engeland er in Europa op aandringen om de emissie targets van 20% reductie in 2020 naar 30% op te voeren. Het argument is dat dit de Europese groene technologie een stimulans zal geven. Geweldig!
Ook al is het doom en gloom, en zal een emissie Reductie niet leiden tot een afname in de CO2 concentratie die bereikt is (met desastreuze gevolgen), het is wel interessant dat de doelstelling zo kan worden bijgesteld. De wordt van gezegd dat het niet lastig is (omdat de emissies in Europa toch al terug liepen). Wat ik mij afvraag is waarom we (als dit een makkelijk haalbaar doel is) geen moeilijker doel stellen, bv 50% reductie. Wat is hier de remming? “If we stick to a 20 per cent cut, Europe is likely to lose the race to compete in a low-carbon world to countries such as China, Japan or the US, all of which are looking to create a more attractive environment for low-carbon investment,” the ministers said. Ach, dat economisch denken, altijd achter geld aanzitten, terwijl je daarmee steevast olie moet kopen om iets van de grond te krijgen. Vervang de olie en de welvaart volgt vanzelf.. |
